Recipe
Cook Time: 25 minutes
Servings: 2 servings
Ingredients
- •500g Halloumi cheese, sliced into 1/2-inch thick fries
- •300g Grass-fed ground beef
- •1/2 cup Aged cheddar cheese, freshly grated
- •1/4 cup Dill pickles, thinly sliced
- •2 tablespoons Avocado oil
- •1/2 teaspoon Smoked paprika
- •1/2 teaspoon Garlic powder
- •1/4 teaspoon Onion powder
- •Salt and freshly cracked black pepper to taste
- •1/2 cup Mayonnaise
- •2 tablespoons Sugar-free tomato ketchup
- •1 tablespoon Yellow mustard
- •1 teaspoon Apple cider vinegar
- •1 tablespoon Fresh chives, finely chopped
- •1 teaspoon Toasted sesame seeds
Instructions
- 1Pat the halloumi fries thoroughly dry with paper towels to ensure a golden, crispy crust.
- 2In a medium bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, sugar-free ketchup, mustard, and vinegar to create the signature burger sauce; set aside.
- 3Heat one tablespoon of avocado oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef, seasoning with smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Sauté until browned and slightly crispy, then remove from heat.
- 4In a separate non-stick skillet, heat the remaining avocado oil. Fry the halloumi sticks in batches for 2-3 minutes per side until deeply golden and crispy.
- 5Arrange the warm halloumi fries on a heat-proof serving platter. Evenly distribute the seasoned beef over the fries and top with the grated aged cheddar.
- 6Place the platter under a preheated broiler for 60 to 90 seconds until the cheese is bubbling and molten.
- 7Finish the dish by layering on the dill pickles, drizzling with the prepared burger sauce, and garnishing with fresh chives and toasted sesame seeds.
